First Ladies, Barking and Dagenham is a new Women’s Institute group created on 6 October 2010. We believe we are the fastest growing women's organisation in the borough, and welcome women of all ages and backgrounds to join us - the more the merrier! We hope you find the below information interesting and informative, and you're welcome to contact us with any questions or queries. Prospective members can visit the group for free*. 1st visit Free, second visit £5.00, then membership is £36.00. Membership applies from Jan-Dec inclusively. ( please note - these are the new fees for 2015). Dual Membership: If you are a member of another WI you may join our group at a reduced rate of approx £17.00 What have you heard about the WI? Jam and Jerusalem? Cake baking for fetes? The Calendar Girls? Yes, all these things are what we can do, but also so much more! Talks by interesting people about things like : Flower arranging African sewing projects Local charities Craft demos and workshops Jewellery making Time to chat to new friends
